It’s finally here. The game of the year between Alabama and LSU. Will it live up to it’s billing? Most of these hyped games do not but I believe this one will. We also have some more big games in the SEC among them being South Carolina at Arkansas. That game can determine the Gamecocks fate in the SEC East. I have one upset pick this week. I don’t consider the winner of Alabama-LSU an upset regardless of who wins.

Georgia 51 New Mexico State 17 No contest. Georgia is rolling along and looks to win the SEC East if South Carolina stumbles.

Ole Miss 28 Kentucky 21 Two bad football teams going nowhere. The only thing that keeps this one close is Kentucky is at home. Ole Miss can put up points and they will put up enough to win at Kentucky.

Tennessee 31 Middle Tennessee 14 The Volunteers finally get a break from SEC action this week and should come away with an easy victory. Tennessee just has to much talent to lose this game.

Arkansas 24 South Carolina 21 I don’t think the South Carolina defense can outscore the Arkansas offense and I know the South Carolina offense can’t outscore the Arkansas offense. The Gamecock defense will keep them in the game and will probably get a turnover or two to give Carolina great field position where even they can score from. New QB Connor Shaw has not been able to do anything through the air the last two weeks. The Gamecocks will look to run the ball 75% of their offensive plays but if they have to many 3 and outs they don’t have a chance no matter how well the defense plays. I think it goes down to the wire with the Hogs holding on. Breaks my heart but I calls them like I seez them. This Carolina offense is ugly and Arkansas is to good to lose ugly at their place..

Mississippi State 37 UT Martin 14 Another SEC team getting a break from SEC play this week. I am sure the Bulldogs want to work on their offense and score as many points as they can. State should win by 4 touchdowns.

Vanderbilt 21 Florida 20 My upset special. Vandy has been close so many games this year to lose in the end. Florida is coming off a game they should have won last week against Georgia. But after building a big lead the Gators could do nothing right in the second half. They have to be down after that heartbreaking loss and nobody realizes how good Vandy is until you get on the field with them. I think it will be the second half before Florida wakes up and it will be to late. The Commodores play good defense and they will hold on.

Alabama 24 LSU 21 At the start of the year I was picking LSU as my favorite team to win the National Championship and they still might. But Alabama is home in this game and I feel like that will be the deciding factor. Both team have great defenses and average offenses that get the job done. LSU can throw a little better but Alabama can run a little better than LSU and they have a great RB in Trent Richardson. A field goal will win this game. I can see LSU driving late but the Alabama defense coming up with a huge stop in front of the home crowd.
